The postdoctoral fellowships programme offered by the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS) enables researchers in Switzerland to stay in Japan for 12 to 24 months. Share LinkedIn Bluesky Email WhatsApp Mastodon X Facebook For a number of years, the Swiss National Science Foundation (SNSF) has acted as a nomination body for the JSPS Postdoctoral Fellowships. In 2025, the SNSF can propose two researchers to the JSPS. To be eligible, researchers must be based at a Swiss research institution at the time they apply. Researchers interested in these fellowships are invited to submit their applications by 30 April 2025. The forms provided by the JSPS for this purpose must be used, and the relevant conditions must be taken into consideration. The completed forms and all required documents must be sent by email to as a scanned attachment. After evaluation by the SNSF, the JSPS will evaluate the applications nominated by the SNSF and inform the candidates of the funding decision by summer 2025. The selected researchers must commence their stays by 30 November 2025 at the latest.
